PLEASE READ OUR ENTIRE RETURN POLICY PRIOR TO MAKING A RETURN. You will need to provide certain information in order for us to complete your return.
Prior to shipment, all items shipped from our inventory receive a thorough inspection to assure our clients will be pleased when their purchase arrives (excludes sealed merchandise). If you should need to return an item, please e-mail Banded Moon within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of your merchandise to initiate a return or exchange. Please note, if planning to return an item it must be in its original condition and product packaging. Products or packaging damaged or defaced by you, or products that smell of smoke, perfume, or are otherwise not in original condition are not returnable. In the event an item is returned that is damaged or is not in otherwise original condition, client shall be responsible for any loss in value and any refunds due client, if applicable, shall be reduced by the loss in value.
Banded Moon MUST be notified in writing via e-mail or standard mail within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of your merchandise prior to returning an item. Specify your order number, which item(s) your are returning, the reason for the return, your name and your e-mail address. (Clients who ordered by regular mail may phone Banded Moon for a return authorization number.) Upon receipt, a return authorization number will be e-mailed (or provided) to you, typically within 24 hours. You will then follow our STEP-BY-STEP RETURN INSTRUCTIONS and mail your return to Banded Moon within fourteen (14) calendar days from receipt of merchandise.
Audio CDs are returnable if in undamaged condition and have been unopened. Return authorizations will not given for merchandise that is not in original condition, has been worn, used, laundered, modified, customized, personalized, or damaged by you, or for incomplete or partial returns. Items returned without a return authorization number will not be accepted. Refunds, if applicable, will be credited to your original payment method. In no instance will Banded Moon refund more than you paid initially for your purchase. No refunds are given on downloadable products. Merchandise needing to be exchanged will be treated as a new order.
Refunds will be made based on the price you paid for the item, not the current price. Refunds will be issued by Banded Moon to your original method of payment normally within ten (10) business days of receipt of the return, provided your original payment has cleared our bank, the return has been made in accordance with our Return Policy and within the designated return period, and the item has been received safely by Banded Moon. It may take one or two billing cycles for a refund to appear on your credit/debit card or bank statement. PayPal credits are a function of PayPal itself and are based on PayPal credit timeframes. We are not responsible for PayPal crediting times. Items being returned due to damage may require additional handling and research time, which may delay the issuing of your refund.
Return postage and insurance costs are your responsibility. We do not accept COD returns. Original postage, handling, and insurance costs are non-refundable unless an item was damaged in shipping, has manufacturer defect, an error has been made by Banded Moon, or in certain other rare circumstances. In such instances, refunds for postage, handling, and insurance costs, if any, will be prorated based on the items being returned. Refunds will not be issued by Banded Moon for partial returns or for merchandise which has been worn, used, laundered, modified, customized, personalized, or damaged by you. No refunds or credits will be given for merchandise returned to us without a Return Authorization number.
Shipping charges will not be refunded on refused shipments, shipments to undeliverable or wrong addresses, or for unsuccessful deliveries following multiple delivery attempts. Client refunds may also be reduced by any additional charges Banded Moon incurs attempting to deliver or redeliver your shipment. (See Shipping and Delivery in our Terms and Conditions for more information.) Additionally, clients will incur a 15% restocking fee on merchandise returned due to one of the above reasons, as well as a charge for all actual shipping costs, even if the order was sent out with free shipping. For example, if your order total was $100.00 and our shipping cost was $7.95 but it shipped to you for free, your refund will be reduced by $15.00 for restocking, minus our actual shipping cost of $7.95, and you will be refunded $77.05. If we incurred additional charges to deliver your package due to an incorrect address or for one of the reasons stated above, your refund will be reduced further for those charges. In no case will clients be credited for original shipping charges on items which were shipped with free shipping.
Return shipping charges for merchandise you are returning are your responsibility. Should merchandise be damaged or lost during return transit from you to Banded Moon, we will notify you and it will be your responsibility to file a claim with your courier for reimbursement. Therefore, it is advisable to always obtain tracking and insurance coverage when returning or exchanging an item.
Should you have an issue with a refund or are dissatisfied for any reason, we request that you contact Banded Moon to discuss your issue prior to filing a dispute with PayPal or your bank or credit/debit card company. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will work with you to resolve your issue. Clients needing to make a return are requested to follow the STEP-BY-STEP RETURN INSTRUCTIONS below. These instructions provide everything you will need to properly complete a return. Additional information about ordering, shipping, the return and crediting processes is located in our Terms and Conditions. By ordering from us, you agree to these Banded Moon Policies.

STEP-BY-STEP RETURN & EXCHANGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: E-mail J’tara using our contact form within 10 days to receive a return authorization number. Specify in the Message section your order number the item(s) you are returning, the reason for the return(s), your name and your e-mail address.
If a return is approved, a return authorization number will be e-mailed to you. (Items returned without a return authorization number will not be accepted. Return authorizations will not be given for partial returns or for merchandise that has been worn, used, laundered, modified, customized, personalized, or damaged by you.
Step 2: Print a copy of the Shipping Notification e-mail(s) you received when the order(s) shipped. Be sure your name, address, and e-mail are shown on the e-mail(s). If requesting a return, circle the item number of the item you are returning. (We recommend including a copy of the original e-mail(s) you sent to us requesting an authorization number.) Write the return authorization number we gave you on the e-mail(s) and enclose with your return.
Step 3: Place the merchandise and Shipping Notification e-mail(s) along with all accompanying tags, manuals, literature, and related information in a crush-resistant, well-sealed box. If needed, stuff the box with newspaper or other packing material to prevent the contents from being knocked around during shipment. Be sure to include all pieces, parts, components, and manufacturer and packaging, if applicable.
Step 4: Write the return authorization number above your name/return address on the outside of your package.
Step 5: Take the package to your local post office within 14 days of receipt of your order to mail your package. For your protection, we recommend you request tracking and insurance for the total dollar amount of the items you are returning. (Please note: USPS Tracking, formerly called Delivery Confirmation, is NOT insurance and will NOT protect you in case of loss or damage during return transit. Banded Moon is not responsible for return items mailed to us.) Retain the insurance paperwork/receipt for your protection in case of loss or damage. You will need this to file a claim with the Post Office. Please note: Return postage, tracking and insurance is your responsibility unless you received defective merchandise or an error was made by us. We do not accept COD returns.
